About the event
The 12th Annual Arts in the Dark Halloween Parade will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This year, the massive, family-friendly evening celebration moves back to its expanded footprint on Columbus Drive, marching north from Balbo Drive to Jackson Boulevard in downtown Chicago.
Hosted by LUMA8 and the City of Chicago, this free event treats over 100,000 spectators to glowing floats, dramatic spectacle puppets, music, and dance performances set against the illuminated Chicago skyline.
🗺️ The New 2026 Route

Step-off Location: The parade kicks off at 6:00 PM at the intersection of Columbus Drive and Balbo Drive.
Direction: The procession will move straight north along Columbus Drive.
