📍 Maywood Veterans Park

Three days of live music, carnival rides, food, vendors and community fun just minutes west of Berwyn. Friday focuses on House Music, Saturday brings Latin and Hip Hop, and Sunday closes with Gospel, R&B and the annual car show.

🇵🇱 TASTE OF POLONIA

📍 Copernicus Center, Chicago
📅 Sept. 4–7
🎟️ Kids 12 & under FREE

One of Chicago's biggest Labor Day traditions, with four days of Polish food, culture, live music and family entertainment. Multiple stages mix Polish performers with rock, tribute bands, dance, movies and kids programming.

🎉 NAPERVILLE LAST FLING

📍 Downtown Naperville
📅 Sept. 4–7
🎟️ FREE

Four days of live music, carnival rides, food, family attractions and the traditional Labor Day Parade take over Downtown Naperville. The 2026 main-stage concerts are free, with everything from country and classic rock to Sixteen Candles and Hi Infidelity.

🦞 GREAT AMERICAN LOBSTER FEST

📍 Navy Pier, Chicago
📅 Sept. 5–6
🎟️ FREE admission

Fresh Maine lobster, live music and Lake Michigan views make this one of the weekend's most unique outings. Grab a lobster meal, hang out at the Navy Pier Beer Garden and make an afternoon or evening of it.

🎨 FRANKFORT FALL FESTIVAL

📍 Historic Downtown Frankfort
📅 Sept. 5–7
🎟️ FREE

One of Chicagoland's biggest arts-and-crafts festivals fills historic Downtown Frankfort with hundreds of artisans, food, live entertainment and a carnival. It's less traditional street fest and more full-day wandering, shopping and eating experience.

🎸SCHAUMBURG SEPTEMBERFEST

📍 Al Larson Cultural Center, Schaumburg
📅 Sept. 5–7
🎟️ FREE

One of the biggest all-around festivals of Labor Day weekend, with a full carnival, food, beer & wine, arts & crafts, local entertainment, a parade and major free concerts. Night Ranger headlines Saturday, with Warrant and White Lion featuring Mike Tramp taking over Sunday.

📍 Village of Melrose Park — 1000 N. 25th Ave.

Three days of Hispanic culture, food, music and family fun take over Melrose Park with 30+ food vendors and more than 20 live acts. Expect mariachi, cumbia, salsa, folk dancing and plenty to eat throughout the weekend.

🍂 FOREST PARK FALL FEST

📍 Park District of Forest Park
📅 Saturday, Sept. 12 • 2:30–7:30 PM

A true neighborhood fall fest with live music, 40+ local vendors, food, kids activities and entertainment on the Park District lawn. It's close, free and easy to work into a bigger day of festival hopping.

🇩🇪 GERMAN-AMERICAN OKTOBERFEST

📍 Lincoln Square, Chicago
📅 Sept. 11–13

Three days of German food, beer, live music and traditional dancing turn Lincoln Square into one of Chicago's classic Oktoberfest celebrations. Saturday adds the annual Von Steuben German-American Parade.

🎸 THROWBACK MUSIC FEST

Three days of throwback music take over Milwaukee Avenue with two stages, carnival rides, food, family activities and a Sunday classic car show. Saturday's lineup includes Beyond the Blonde, Stone Cold Killers and Wedding Banned.

Mexican Independence weekend fills Grant Park with live performers, Mexican food, a Mercadito, artisans and cultural programming. Sunday culminates with the official El Grito Civic Ceremony, mariachi, folkloric dancers and fireworks.

☘️ HALFWAY TO SAINT PATRICK'S DAY

📍 James Joyce Irish Pub, Berwyn
📅 Saturday, Sept. 12 • 3–11 PM
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Kid friendly

Windsor Avenue gets a little taste of March six months early with live Irish music, bagpipes, Irish dancers, Irish food and kids activities. The block party features two live Irish bands, Band of Brothers Pipes and Drums and the Harling School of Irish Dancing.

🎨 WEST END ARTS FESTIVAL

La Grange celebrates the 30th anniversary of West End Arts Festival with fine art, artist displays, live music, food, drinks and family-friendly arts programming. It's a quieter alternative to the weekend's carnivals and beer tents.

🪕 COUNTRYSIDE BLUEGRASS & BREWS

📍 Countryside Park
📅 Saturday, Sept. 12 • 3–10 PM
🎟️ FREE

Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seven hours of bluegrass, food trucks and craft beverages. Four bands perform throughout the afternoon and evening before musicians come together for a closing jam session.
