Pride Month Isn't Just In Chicago Anymore
For decades, Pride Month was largely centered around major city celebrations. Today, communities throughout the west suburbs host their own Pride walks, festivals, author events, drag brunches, concerts, and community gatherings.
Whether you're looking for a family-friendly festival, a community walk, live entertainment, or one of Chicago's biggest annual celebrations, there are Pride events happening almost every weekend this June within minutes of Berwyn.

A Brief History of Pride
Pride Month traces its roots to the Stonewall Uprising of June 1969 in New York City, a watershed moment in the LGBTQ+ rights movement.
What began as a protest evolved into a worldwide celebration of visibility, equality, and community. Today, Pride events bring together people from all backgrounds to celebrate diversity while honoring the generations who fought for LGBTQ+ rights.
