POSTPONED because of air quality. Sometimes the best nights in Berwyn don't require reservations, expensive tickets, or a trip downtown.
Sometimes all you need is $15, a few friends, and an appetite.
On Thursday, Aug 13, the annual Taste of Cermak Road returns, transforming Berwyn's historic Cermak Road into one giant neighborhood food crawl.
From 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., you'll have the chance to sample food, sweets, drinks, and specials from some of Berwyn's favorite local businesses all for one low ticket price.
Whether you've lived here your entire life or just moved to town, this is one of those events that reminds you why people love Berwyn.

Beginning at 4:30 PM outside BMO Bank, 6655 W. Cermak Road (pickup available until 7:30 PM).
🎸 Live Music After-Party
Continue the evening at Wagner's Lounge with live music from 7:30 PM until 10:30 PM.
Rain or shine, the Taste goes on.
More Than Just a Food Crawl
The Taste of Cermak Road isn't just about eating.
It's about exploring one of Berwyn's most historic streets.
Stretching across the city from east to west, Cermak Road has long been Berwyn's Main Street. A place where generations of family-owned businesses have welcomed neighbors through their doors.
The street itself is named after Anton J. Cermak, Chicago's mayor from 1931 to 1933, whose legacy remains deeply connected to the Czech-American communities that helped shape Berwyn's history.
Today, that history is reflected in the incredible diversity of restaurants lining the corridor.
Within just a few blocks you'll find Mexican family recipes, Mediterranean favorites, Chicago-style pizza, wine bars, handmade desserts, classic American comfort food, and some of the city's newest restaurant concepts.
Taste of Cermak Road gives you the perfect excuse to experience all of it in one evening.

As of publication, the Berwyn Development Corporation has confirmed the following participants for this year's Taste of Cermak Road:
🍕 Anthony's Pizza
A longtime neighborhood favorite serving Berwyn for more than three decades with classic Chicago-style pizza.
🍪 Crave Cookies & Soda
One of the newest additions to Cermak Road, bringing oversized gourmet cookies and specialty sodas.
🍕🌮 Encanto Cantina & Pizzeria
A creative blend of Mexican cuisine and pizza that has quickly become a neighborhood favorite.
🌮 La Lupita Restaurant
One of Berwyn's signature restaurants, famous for homemade tortillas, traditional Mexican cuisine, and recognition from WGN's Chicago's Best.
🍷 Flight 22 Wine Bar
A relaxed stop offering wine, conversation, and a different pace during the crawl.
🍦 La Michoacana Classic
Paletas, ice cream, fruit drinks, and desserts that make the perfect sweet finish.
🌺 Jardín Restaurant
Upscale Latin-inspired cuisine and creative cocktails in one of Berwyn's most beautiful dining rooms.
🌮 El Nuevo Vallarta Sports Bar & Grill
A longtime Cermak Road favorite serving Mexican comfort food with a lively sports bar atmosphere.
🍟 McDonald's
Yes, even McDonald's joins the fun, proving this event truly includes something for everyone.
🍕 Waldo Cooney's Pizza
Award-winning thin crust pizza and one of Berwyn's best-known pizza destinations.
🫓 Las Quecas – Quesadillas de México
Authentic handmade Mexican quesadillas that have developed a loyal following throughout the western suburbs.
🍽️ La Parra Restaurant & Bar
Known for Mediterranean cuisine, beautiful patio dining, and one of the area's most photographed smoked Old Fashioneds.
💪 WBody Women's Gym
A unique community participant offering wellness promotions and helping showcase the diversity of businesses along the corridor.
🎶 Wagner's Lounge
The official after-party with live music from 7:30–10:30 PM, making it the perfect place to finish the evening.
Additional participants may still be announced by the Berwyn Development Corporation before July 16.

✔ Arrive early and pick up your wristband beginning at 4:30 PM.
✔ Come hungry—you'll want room for multiple stops.
✔ Wear comfortable shoes. You'll be walking roughly a mile along the corridor.
✔ Bring friends. Food crawls are always better when everyone shares.
